iWork the Numbers Add Up
Apple® today introduced iWork™ ’08, a significant upgrade to Apple’s productivity software suite featuring new versions of Pages® and Keynote word processing and presentation applications, and introducing an innovative new spreadsheet application called “Numbers.” Numbers introduces the concept of intelligent tables on a flexible canvas, a new approach that makes it easy to organize information, create calculations, analyze results and make spreadsheets look as great as they work.
Pages ’08 now features distinct modes for streamlined word processing and flexible page layout, a new contextual format bar and change tracking, and Keynote ’08 now includes text effects, transitions and themes that help users easily compose spectacular presentations, and Smart Builds with easy-to-set-up A-to-B animations that make impressive animations easy for anyone to create.
Turbo.264 Update
Elgato has released a complimentary software update adding a number of new features to the Elgato Turbo.264, a hardware video encoding accelerator in USB stick format. Elgato Turbo.264 now supports iPhone video, offers user-customisable settings for video conversion, and enables manual selection of sound tracks from DVDs.
This update to Turbo.264 version 1.1 includes improved widescreen detection, performance improvements, and a number of bug fixes.The Elgato Turbo.264 1.1 application now supports Apple’s latest bestseller, the iPhone. Two iPhone presets follow Apple’s recommendations; 4:3 source material produces 480×360 pixel video, 16:9 source is encoded as 480 x 270 pixels.
iStopmotion 2 Final Candidate
After more than two years of development, the team is eager to get iStopMotion 2 into your hands. At this stage, iStopMotion 2 is fully functional and has completed intensive beta testing. All major problems reported during beta testing have been resolved, so it should be ready for production work. But please perform your own intensive testing before betting your business on it and report any problems you find.
The team is hard at work to give the product the final touches, but since the remaining tasks are not critical for using the product, we wanted to start getting it into your hands. This is the list of open tasks:
