RapidWeaver 4 Released

RealMac Software have released their latest version of the excellent RapidWeaver. RapidWeaverʼs all-new interface makes the application even easier to use. The main window has been updated to feel right at home in Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard), along with a refreshed Page Inspector.

Google Syncs with iPhone Contacts

The latest OSX upgrade introduces the ability to sync your OSX contacts with Google. The post on the Google Apps blog suggests it may only work for iPhone users but it is welcomed announcement none the less.

Film History : The Cut

David Bordwell has released a great article on a number of cuts he thinks are worthy of acknowledgement. He has deliberately left out the superb Eisenstein’s, Ozu’s, and Hitchcock’s cuts are they were deemed too obvious.

MacHeads – The Movie

You might struggle to believe this but it is actually true. Someone has made a movie 100% focused on the Apple Mac computer. Many of the DigMo! subscribers are Mac users but none (that we are aware off) have reached the level of creating their own dedication to the Mac platform. The trailer for ‘MacHeads the Movie’ is below, we would be interested to know what you think!

Spanning Sync Beta Open

Today Spanning Sync are opening theSpanning Sync v2.0 Public Beta, which not only adds support for syncing Address Book with Gmail contacts (click here to watch a video preview) but also improves the performance and reliability of syncing iCal with Google Calendar.

Sony on iTunes

A number of the key Apple sites are celebrating the arrival of Sony to the list of TV shows offered on iTunes UK. As massive iTunes fans we are naturally celebrating any new video content on the UK iTunes store quietly hoping that some day soon we will see the ability to purchase and rent full movies directly from iTunes and our Apple TVs.

Equinux today released MediaCentral 2.8, the ultimate mediacenter solution for Mac OS X. MediaCentral now fully supports the latest addition to the TubeStick family – TubeStick hybrid. US users are now able to watch live digital and analog television within Media Central.

Student iChat a Big Fish

Wallace High School Moving Image Arts students this week had the unique opportunity of working with an award winning author and script writer this week. The class enjoyed an hour long workshop with Daniel Wallace, whose work includes Tim Burton’s ‘Big Fish‘.
