Apple’s 11th July Just too Busy!

It becomes more and more apparent that the 11th July is going to be a very busy Apple day, but surprisingly so. Firstly we have the new iPhone 2 launch. Apple think the release of version 2 is going to be even more demanding that the queues created by version 1. Therefore we can expect a large number of new iPhone users around the world activating and playing for the first time.

Then we have the new iPhone 2.0 software for current users. I would agree with other bloggers that this is going to be a significant download and upgrade so as we all hit the web at once to get our hands on the new updated firmware is it all going to so smoothly ?

Well, to make use of the iPhone 2 software you need an updated version of iTunes. Again yet another download and upgrade and one that not only iphone users will be getting.

Then, to top it all we have the relaunch of the .Mac service in the form of mobile me. Push calendars, Push Mail, Push Contacts and idisk on a whole newly attractive way, the cloud is here.

There are those out there who may consider me a little cynical but surely this is too much at once ? Surely we will be getting something earlier than the 11th ? I’d hope for the lot (other than iPhone 2) but with Me.com addresses now working 11 days prior to the suggested release date surely this is a good sign ?

What do others think ? I suspect we will see a few additions in the next few days either that or the 11th July is going to be the largest population ever reporting in sick in a single day the world has ever seen. Good luck Apple Servers!
