Cinemagic Young Consultants Announced

Cinemagic has selected 25 young film enthusiasts from all over Northern Ireland to form the 2007 panel of young film consultants for this year’s film festival, which takes place in Belfast in November. The newly appointed consultants attended a 3 day workshop (2nd - 4th July inc) in Queen’s Film Theatre, where they had the opportunity to watch and review a selection of films from around the globe that will be screened in cinemas across the city during the three week festival.
The young consultants also had the opportunity to get their thinking hats on and come up with ideas and suggestions for the design of the festival programme and how to promote the festival to young people. A highlight of the three day workshop was a behind the scenes tour of the Movie House Cinemas, Belfast, where the group had the chance to meet the cinema projectionist, and were shown how the films are played and projected on to the numerous cinema screens.
