Cinemagic Young Filmmaker 2007

Cinemagic is looking for imaginative and original films made by young people to be screened as part of Cinemagic Young Filmmaker 2007. The films can be about anything at all fact or fiction, comedy or drama, news programme or documentary.
Cinemagic Young Filmmaker 2007 will take place during the Cinemagic Festival in November. The event will showcase the best short film entries of the year and we shall also be producing a series of workshops and masterclasses with renowned members of the film and TV industry.
A digital filmmaking prize will be awarded for the best film in each age category - the winning entries will also be screened in competition during the CINEMAGIC WORLD SCREEN FESTIVAL FOR YOUNG PEOPLE in December 08. The winning films will also be championed by Cinemagic and sent into other film competitions around the world.
The competition is open to anyone aged 25 and under from the UK and Ireland. The event will be split into 3 different age categories; films made be under 15’s, films made by 15 – 17 year olds and films made by 18 – 25 year olds.
Please send a VHS or DVD copy of your film with a completed entry form by FRIDAY 2ND NOVEMBER 2007. Films should be no longer than 15 minutes. Entries should be sent to CINEMAGIC YOUNG FILMMAKER 2007, Chris Shaw, Cinemagic, 49 Botanic Avenue, Belfast BT7 1JL.
