The latest version of iDive is available from Aquafadas web site. iDive more than ever finds it natural place next to a user’s favorite editing tool and adds pro-grade cataloging functionality to the editing workflow, without sacrificing on simplicity and elegance.
This new version includes a completely new capture module for video footage that lets users choose how they want their videos stored on disk: either as high quality footage fully compatible with either iMovie or Final Cut, or as on-the-fly compressed videos.
The new capture module adds various other most requested new feature ssuch a pre-roll, the ability to save capture settings and playback control.
iDive 1.8 also includes many improvements, alongside capture, including numerous organizational improvements: tape groups have been introduced as well as folder hierarchies for imported material. Tapes can now be rearranged via drag and drop and can even be moved between libraries and disks with your mouse. New maintenance tools have been introduced to run diagnostic and repair corrupted libraries. Improved handling of iMovie projects, improved tagging and an extended documentation conclude this long list of changes.
