School Film Clubs Coming Soon !

Thousands of films are to be made available to schools to inspire children about the stories they tell and careers in the movie industry. Film Club is a chance to enter the incredible, limitless cosmos of films - a rollercoaster ride through worlds that enrich, challenge, inspire, unite and amaze us.At the heart of Film Club is a belief that film broadens our minds in extraordinary and unexpected ways but that this cannot happen without access to all kinds of films. Film Club want to bring you these films and work with you (both teachers and pupils) to set up after-school film clubs where you can screen them.
Film Club want to support this by offering you specially devised seasons and grouping films into interesting themes. They hope that this will evolve into a truly democratic project inspired by and reacting to the opinions of pupils, supported by teachers. You will be able to rate and review films that are screened by your film club and share your views with others.
The goal is to have actors, directors, writers and other leading film industry figures visiting many schools giving personal talks about their experiences.
FILM CLUB has joined with LOVEFiLM, The Guardian, Film Education, the UK Film Council and other partners to bring this pilot to you. It involves testing the FILM CLUB idea during this term with 25 schools in Yorkshire, Kent, Surrey and London. If it works we hope to offer FILM CLUB to thousands of schools.
