Track your digital life
February 23, 2007
Slife is a new application for the Max OS X that lets you visualize and organize your computer activities like never before. Slife observes your every interaction with applications such as Safari, Mail and iChat and keeps tracks of all web pages you visit, emails you read, documents you write and much more.
Slife provides 5 different ways in which you can visualize your activities: by day, by month, by year, as a list and also as a summary. Click on the images below to take a look at a full-size screenshot of each one of the visualizations.
All activities observed by Slife are graphically displayed in visualizations that make it easy for you to understand where and how you are spending your time. To make things even easier for your, Slife allows you to categorize your activities into project types that you define yourself. Limiting your daily dose of news and billing clients for work performed has never been easier. This really is a great application and at times you really will be shocked as to where your time goes each day.

Neat Features:
Content Filtering:
There are times when it is better to keep things private. Slife lets you specify rules for filtering items, so that they are completely ignored. Rules can be based on item title or item link, for example, making it simple to filter out undesirable web pages by title or URL.
Tagging
Tags allow you to bookmark any observed Slife item, such as a text document, web page or chat session, so that you can keep your items organized. Following the free-form tag format popularized by del.icio.us, you are free to use any word or combination of characters as a tag.
Private Mode
In addition to rule-based content filters, Slife also has a “Private Mode” similar to Safari’s “Private Browsing” setting. In other words, absolutely nothing gets logged when you are in private mode. To download slife visit slifelabs.com
Once you have finished tracking your digital life for a week or so why not share your experiences with friends using the Slife Share feature: see here for more details.
