Apple TV : The tour

Apple have started shipping their Apple TV device. Once known as iTV, Apple TV was officially unveiled at Macworld 2007. With its built-in hard drive and 802.11n wireless streaming, this little white box finally brings together iTunes and the TV.

The unit costs just under £200 and unfortunately for many UK homes does not work with the traditional CRT screens.

Personally we don’t see what the hype is all about. In our opinion a video ipod and composite cable adds external video capabilities to a great personal player. Perhaps as more UK homes move to HD televisions and Apple actually offer the UK Movies and TV via iTunes our opinion might change but for now we are sticking with ipod.
