iPhone Springboard
As you all probably already know Apple have released updates for both the iPhone and iPod Touch that allows you to create ‘web clips’ of sites and add them directly to the ’springboard’ (that is the main screen to most people). Well did you know you can customise the button for your site so if a user creates a webclip you have total control over how it looks. (Try it for this site).
The process is very simple :
Create a 57×57 PNG.
Name it “apple-touch-icon.png”
Upload the file to the root folder of your site. Easy.
