The following is a list of our favourite free or low cost applications for video, image or digital media management. If you are a developer please contact us to have your application listed. VisualHub
This low cost application converts most video formats into any other video format. Visualhub can also join clips and burn DVDs or a range of media files.

Mac The Ripper
This free application allows you to back up your DVD collection (essential if you have children)

HandBrake
This freeware application converts unencrypted DVDs to Mp4. Handbrake recently merged with mediafork.

Tube Sock
This low cost application automatically downloads and converts YouTube video for ipod.

Audio

Switch
Switch sound file conversion software is an audio file format converter for Windows or Mac. It can convert audio files from many different file formats into mp3

Photo and Image

Screenshot Plus
This freeware widget makes taking screen grabs of windows, full screen and widgets a breeze.

Paparazzi
This has to be one of the best applications for taking full screen shots of websites. This application not only grabs the area of the page that is on screen but also the content you have to scroll to reach.

Essentials

Overflow
is an essential application designed to quickly launch applications, open documents, or access folders while keeping the size of your dock in check.

News Fire
This is my favourite RSS reader. It does everything you could ever want from RSS and then adds a little more.

License Keeper
This great little application stores all your Mac license keys and serials in one handy application.
