Sad Day for Video Conversion

I am genuinely saddened by the news that Techspansion the company behind my all time video conversion application Visualhub is to cease developing their range of software. The message on their website used the familiar “Nostalgia” message to convey “It was good while it lasted”.
We have been using Visualhub for a few years now as it was one of the few applications that allowed conversion to any other format and that even included windows media (WMV).
The software also enabled users to get as much video on to a DVD that they desired with Visualhub managing all the compression etc.
The company stated :
…After much soul-searching (it’s not you, it’s me), for personal reasons, Techspansion is closing its virtual doors.The Support Forum and Support E-mail will be available for a while longer to take care of any remaining issues for you. Thanks for all your support. It’s been a fun ride.
We have covered the application a few times and have produced a very quick guide on how easy it is/was to convert video to any other format using Visualhub. (here) and listed it in our top favourite applications.
We bid Techspansion a very sad farewell you will definitely be missed !
