Last year I wrote a piece on the use of the Flip Video in Education. Since then the number of Flip Videos in school has quadrupled with the biggest disappointment coming when people find they are all booked out. There is nothing more motivating (and exciting) as digital creativity in the classroom. I personally think you would be hard pushed to find a teacher who doesn’t love offering their pupils digital creativity opportunities yet we all face the age old problem of having little TIME to learn new technologies and even less time to freely experiment in class. This year we invested in a number of Flip Ultra Video cameras to be used in the classroom environment. These reasonably low cost video cameras have revolutionised how we work with video in education.
A couple of years ago we were involved with a large scale video project that involved training teachers on how to use a camcorder (tape), how to import footage, how to edit footage and how to export it to a portable format that would work on the networked computers. Read more
