I was thinking back to this time last year, the stress of the O2 upgrade process over at about 10am the iPhone 3G would arrive on the doorstep despite being told my upgrade hadn’t been processed. I was happy, the Apps Store was open and MobileMe was in the throes of an upgrade….

Exactly a year ago this month my excitement about the new iPhone 3G started to heighten. The already excellent mobile internet device was about to get the GPS work over. Rumours of turn by turn navigation by TomTom and the use of Google Maps were rife.

Education and Omnifocus Review

One of the best applications I discovered of 2008 has to be Omnifocus. If you haven’t heard of the software it is a brilliant ‘Getting Things Done (GTD)’ application that offers a range of brilliant tools that work really well in education.

Creative use of iPhone GPS

Apple have seen some criticism of the lack of turn by turn GPS functionality. Well one Northern Ireland reader has certainly come up with a very creative use of the iPhone’s GPS features. A number of years ago a Peace Maze was created in Castlewellan Forest park in County Down. The maze is simply massive.
