After a quick sync - that did an excellent job matching contacts - I had contact photos, birthdays, and cities updated. One sync of the iPhone and now pictures come up when a FB contact calls. After enabling the "Birthday" calendar in iCal, all the birthdays are filled in on my calendar; they even show up on the desktop with the contact photo and how many years old the person is turning through the magic of iCalViewer (www.icalviewer.com). That's pretty amazing stuff. Downsides: it won't update phone numbers and addresses. Also, it pointed out that I have been spelling a few of my friends' names wrong for a number of years when it didn't match their contacts... This is a great find.
